CPI takes the mystery out of ebooks with our content conversion and distribution services. Created from PDF files, InDesign, Word or even scanned data, we can output fully flexible ebooks in multiple formats for all platforms, including epub2, Apple fixed format, KF8 for Kindle and Adobe Reader. Conversions can be made and delivered simultaneously with printed product. Once created, CPI can take your approved file and make it available at all major online retailers in your country, including Amazon and Apple.

Ebook Business case
CPI is at the leading edge of ebook conversion, with many of our ebooks topping the iTunes chart. For example, the Gruffalo Red Nose Day Song Book was converted to enhanced multimedia ebook format by CPI for publisher Pan Macmillan. The children’s ebook includes an exclusive sound recording of ‘The Gruffalo Song’ and a video of the book’s illustrator, Axel Scheffler, drawing the Gruffalo.
The Gruffalo ebook was also the first in the UK to use the new fixed ePub format for the iPad, enabling publishers to create ebooks with precise layouts using a CSS or stylesheet. Sizes are specified in pixels rather than point sizes, meaning that the user can zoom in and out without the text reflowing.

We develop content on the new formats such as KF8 and EPUB3, and our relationship with retailers enables us to work with future releases of the retailer’s operating software – giving CPI customers an invaluable head start in the market.
We also completed the Pottermore contract, converting the Harry Potter series, not only in English but also all of the foreign language conversion.
